[Crysis] TAC-gun

I am at the point where i need to blow up the giant alien ship. They tell me to use the TAC gun to blow the cannons up. first cannon no problem locks on and everything. 2nd cannon cant lock on the damn thing. and i hear "Nomad use the TAC gun!" over and over but i cant do shit with it. it never locks on.
Cant use the Missile launcher either. cus after i used three rockets he didn't throw it away so i'm stuck with a empty launcher and and cant pick up a new one. This is the 4th time i replay this level. >.<
Got any tips?

But on topic, i had to go back when it would not let me pick up more rockets to a point where it would, else i got stuck with an empty rocket launcher as well. As for locking on, i cant remember but sure there was a gap between each lock on before you could fire again, however it did always lock on for me, so you may need to do it all over again!!
