Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying.dayarath wrote:
I ment, that how it was supposed to be hadn't come into effect just there, the people in the SS at that time were just regular grown ups with SF training, not the kids raised to be soldiers idea - that would've come about 10 years later.Poseidon wrote:
What? There were 39 divisions of Waffen-SS troops fighting in battle.
Why do you think when the SS "surrendered", our soldiers just shot them on sight most of the time? They knew nothing else besides how to kill. They were trained not to give up no matter what and if they tried to make them POWs...well, it wouldn't go too good.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:
I wouldnt say the SS were incredible soldiers. They were just pretty well trained and disciplined. Our regular army units were defeating them in WW2.

Yeah but if you look at maps between 1700's to 2000's you'll seen almost every country was atleast controlled by a European country mostly France, Germany, Britain, and Belgium. Germany, Britain, and France even had parts of China once.
read some more books.
Not that it matters or has anything to do with anything said. Other than his pathetic Europe rant post.^*AlphA*^ wrote:

indeed, poseidon what you're saying is what they would theoretically become if nazi germany lasted a few years longer.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:
thats not the reason. The SS were the military arm behind the holocaust. They were also notorious for killing POW's. Its not because they were considered super duper. They were better equipped with a different TOE (Table of Organization and Equipment) compared to their wermacht counter parts

I happen to believe that Japanese soldiers were more to fear than the SS during WW2dayarath wrote:

I think their ORBAT meant that some of the SS were front line assault units and also rear elements of einsatzgruppen (basically killing squads). So they were fighting at the front and murdering innocent civilians at the rear. They definitely rotated during R&R periods so at some stage its fair to say that at some point each SS division had a good hand in combat and murdering duties.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:
