Nascar can get a thread going, lets hope F1 can

First race of the year in Australia.

Should be interesting to see the cars with out traction control. Also the first year of the cars computers being built by Microsoft.
Amazingly enough the computer on an F1 car runs at 100 *C

Race should be starting in about ten minutes now!

GET IN THE DAMN CAR!

Just about to start now.

Did I just see Sebastian Bourdais is in F1 now? Wow that should be interesting to see.
Ive seen him a few times at the long beach gran prix, and he was much better then the competition. There were a few yellows and he would pull away almost a second a lap each one.

Yeah, but that on board that was shown of him the turn before was pretty nice. You just see all the other cars go flying backwards as they throw on the brakes while he says in it and flys by 2-3 guys.

OUCH sucks for barrichello & fuel man. Guy working the stop go sign may get a friendly reminder after that one.

Circle track is its own racing, its like comparing F1 to drag racing. I'm not real into it either but they are still driving the hell out of those cars.

And while he was fighting so hard with Alonso!
I really wanted to see if Alonso could overtake him. I figured he had to but Sebastien Bourdais kept the gap fairly constant and was doing a good job.

He was 4X champ of our American open wheel series. Ive seen him race before live and he is very good. Clearly faster then the rest of the field, when they had yellows he would leave the group more then a second a lap behind him once the safety car was in.

I was rooting for him for sure. Interesting note, he still scored points even with out finishing the race

he wasnt faster than hamilton, at one stage hamilton was 19 seconds in front, then the safety car came out

There weren't to many people faster then Hamilton...considering he won.
Still good.

9 cars of 22 got to the end? Wow, seem to be a very easy track.

Actually I think it was 6 heh.

Seb. was officially 8th, and didn't finish.
I also dunno if barrichello counts. I don't know what the hell happened with that worse then the US GP where more then half the teams didn't have safe tires to run, and so they didnt.

Coming in to the corner, OH SHI-

commentator: Oh no, it seems Alonso's car has suffered a BSOD, and this time it is actually quite accurate - his car is out of control veering straight towards the wall!
