Newest nVidia driver for Vista 32 bit makes my computer go into black screen after I reboot; http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x … _whql.html

My X-Fi Xtreme gamer sound card cant be 1.5 since vista ONLY allows me to change speaker settings trough the Wista Control panel and guess what? It only gives me the option for stereo or mono, no headphones, no 2.1 no 5.1, just fucking stereo or mono. But i have settings at 5.1 in the X-fi control pannel but only left-right speakers make sounds.

If I was bothered I would go back to XP but I cba with all the reinstalling and crap but why the fuck did the release this OP if its only working 50%? plus it eats ur RAM like theres no tomorrow.

Thank god I downloaded this OP instead of buying it, what a waist that would have been.

I find the whole OS infuriating, I've just had the dubious pleasure of setting up 10 laptops at work with Vista on, and fucking jesus, by the end of it I wanted to kill myself (not rly I'm not Emo kiddies, but close).

I'd say it's their worst OS yet, yes that includes Windows ME.

My Vista 64 machine with 8gb = excellent.
My Windows XP machine with 3gb = excellent.

Both had many driver issues and update issues. After resolutions = fine. I don't prefer one over the other and I prefer both to my wife's Mac.

Ah, ME. I remember I had that system on one of my dads computers. We had to revert back to '98, as we only had 20MB left on the HDD. GB HDD ftw tbh.

Actually, when you get an error after installing a driver, guess what? It's not Microsoft's fault. It's the driver's. And that means you should be ranting about NVIDIA, not Microsoft.
Btw, it's OS, not OP - Operating System, and I'm not surprised you get errors if you have an illegal version - I used to get BSODs on mine, until I actually went ahead and got a full legal copy. You know what? I haven't had an error since.

Again: The driver errors are faults on the hardware manufacturer's side, as they have to provide MS with them...

Enough of this "vista is crap" thing. Just another person jumping on the bandwagon - how about backing it up with your own reasoning?
