Yes, but it didn't say so in the "controls" menu. There was no setting for the screenshot key, so I was like wtf I'll use my prinscreenxGj wrote:

Question, Ninja here is running a worse PC then mine, I have a Q6600, 4GB of PC6400 RAM, a 8800GTS 512, and Vista. Hes running very high while when I try very high my PC pukes itself. Im running 1280x1024 and no AA. BTW, on the High config Im still dropping to below 10 FPS on the snow levels. Is that normal?
Hmm.. That's odd. Did you defragment your drive etc. general system cleanup? Or is your performance better with stock settings? Do you run patch 1.2?
Havent done either of those yet, the computer is having its 2 month birthday tomorrow. On stock settings, I run all High, 1280x1024 no AA at about 40-50 FPS dropping to about 15 on the ice levels. With this, Im running the High config never above 30 FPS, usually around 20, dropping to 15 in times of a lot of action. Havent installed Patch 1.2, downloaded but forgot to install, doing that now.
Oh.. that's not XTOD's fault lol. Try setting e_shadows_max_texture_size to 512 or 768
I guess I forgot to change that I did remember I made that mistake though -.-

I am sorry but the 1.3 config on low sucks donkey balls. First off you say its fro 76xx series cards, yet you put in shadows etc. Its barely playable on low. Also as mentioned above the shadows suck and weird glitches appear. I am sorry to say but the 1.2 low config was a million times better than this. No offense buts its the truth.
The shadows don't lower performance on my 7600GT (stock configs. in Crysis) Shit happens, anyways, his computer is fast, unlike ours, so there's bound to be differences/glitches.RDMC wrote:

1.2 Config: 30ish FPS in the forest. 40/50ish FPS in the open
1.3 Config: 15ish in the open Did not even try the forest
Ah well, will just keep it to 1.2 then
Question, Im running the High config, went in options, and all the settings are set to High? Whats up with that it used to be Custom....
I got better FPS in the forest then in the open....RDMC wrote:

RDMC, maybe the glitchy shadows are causing the FPS drop? Don't know, waiting for X to reply.

Aw, crap. I've got a problem. When I first installed this config, I tried to load my latest savegame (which was the first level inside the alien ship thing) and the game crashed to desktop just before reaching 100%. I tried to load an earlier savegame, but the same thing happened. So I figured this config must have corrupted my savegames somehow, no problem. I started over from the beginning and everything was fine. Until I reached the "assault" level. I got the same crash to desktop at 100% during loading. I tried loading other saves and stuff, and I discovered I cannot load any level later than "assault" (assault included). This is new with this config, as I was already further in the game before I installed it.
