The Meritorious Service Medal.
For the past 6 months or so it seems, every time I play BF2, I get the Congratulations you have just been awarded the "The Meritorious Service Medal" on the first game a I play. Only happens once, it happens if I play for some time, shut down the game, come back later, Im "awarded" it again. Its getting a little annoying.
Now I checked the "search forums" for an issues with medals not being awarded. Most posts I found said " dont worry you will get in a few days" or "the stats is down, give it time" or something similar. Great, but 6 months !!
Unfortunately I didnt find anything that really pertained to this slight problem. It keeps saying I have been awarded The Meritorious Service Medal. Fine, thanks, great, ok, enough already. The daft thing is, this should be the second time I get this award. First time was way back in April 2006, but I can not understand why it wont just give me the medal and leave me alone. I do have all the requirements to recieve the medal for a second time. In talking to others who play, I have tried to take some advice from them !! Reinstalled BF2, reinstalled and updated punkbuster, dont play for a month !!! That was easy I was in hospital so could not any way !!!
So, what Im looking for now is something sensible, as to a reason why it wont give me the medal and leave it at that. Please dont bother telling me to search because I did. Unless you can find me a specific post regarding this issue that I missed, then I appologise. Smart comments or flaming are not required either. Just some help.
