I'm having some right trouble with the last update of punkbuster. I won't update automatically, and I've done it manually with pbsetup.exe and pbsvr.exe reckons its is OK, but I get booted from COD4 after a couple of mins.

It is well annoying me now, especially as I've just been off line for nearly 2 weeks.

Any ideas? Basically, I'm no techy, and I don't know what I am doing.

Go to the punkbuster website and do a manual update.

There has never been auto update of punkbuster with COD4.

dont bother updating, just re-install and re-patch

9 times out of 10 it solves the problem

the message on kick is init failure or something.
Also, does anyone have the address of the the person who made punkbuster, cos my cat has just done a particularly nasty crap that I'd like to send them

DL pbsvc. It un/reinstalls pb. You might need to update pb after the reinstall though.  Use pbsetup for that. No need to uninstall/ reinstall the game and then patch it. That's just stupid.
