Ok :  Here, i will describe you a few options you CAN do, like i did, and hope it will work. This is my LAST GIFT to bf2 community since i am going to stop playing once again.


TUNE XP/ SP2 ( System )
1.If you are using windows XP, download latest SP2 fixes for it ( Service pack 2 ), and also a little program called TuneXP. When you download it, optimize with it with the help of the 2nd link.

NETEAGLE / TCP Optimizer  ( Connection & Internet )
2. You may want to try a NETEagle or TCP Optimizer. Those are 2 programs which automatically optimize your connection to best performance. I am using NETEagle and i can say it helped a bit and people who used TCP said that now they login in few seconds, before they took minutes.

CCleaner / Registry Mechanic  ( System Registry )
3. You may also try a CCleaner or Registry Mechanic. Those are programs who cleans the registry in your computer. Like : empty registry keys, cookies, temporary internet files, history…  Let me just note you that in 1 day, i clean about 100 mb  OF SHIT which slows down computer. CCleaner is a free program.

Antivirus & Antispyware  ( Software solutions )
4. I dont know which Antivirus you are using or if you are  using an antispyware too, but you can try. Viruses DO SLOW DOWN computer which may reflect on hitreg and cause lagg. I have tried many AV programs and let me just explain you something. I was using NOD32 2.7 version, SET on maximum protection which i managed to do thru all the settings inside the program and by the guide of experts. It found me 2 more viruses. Then i installed NOD32 3.0 and IT SUCKS. I deleted it and put AVG free which found me another trojan which NOD forgot. Then i put Avira ( which reached really high scores on tests ) and it found me ANOTHER 5 Trojan horses which AVG forgot. Then i put a-squared ( trial ) and it found me 2 trojans, 2 high risk worms and 2 sneaky spyware, which Avira forgot. Then i put ClamWin Free and it found me ANOTHER backdoor trojan which a-Squared forgot. This leads me to conclusion : there IS NO best antivirus. You have to use 2-3 because every AV has different way to scan, so AVG found something, Avira finds more and a-squared found what Avira misses, tho it may NOT found what AVG did – understand ? ofc DO NOT have installed ALL 3 at THE SAME TIME. I suggest you to use :

1st install a-squared trial to CLEAN your computer / use DEEP scan. Uninstal it and install Clamwin to scan even deeper into your system. When every shit is cleaned and deleted, install Avira and KEEP it as real-time protection, but still perform last deep scan for maximum
protection. And  if you have really strong virus on your system – get yourself a program called Trojan Remover.

Also, spyware is EVEN biggest threat to your system, because it steals the info, watching your every move, stealing your passwords, and it can also »see« WHAT you are typing.

MSCONFIG & Task Manager  ( System & Startup )
5. Everything REFLECTS on your computer and condition about it. So in case you didnt do that, i suggest you to click on Start / Run / type »msconfig«. Go to startup and terminate programs WHICH SHOULD NOT start when windows do. I decreased a number of Startup program to 8 – which is really LOW number and i suggest you to decrease yours to MAXIMUM of 10. Use google to enter the program names to see what they do and to what they are related. To simply stop them from running at Startup EVER AGAIN, uncheck their boxes, press Apply and make a restart to take effect.  Also : press Control +Alt + Delete to open Task Manager. DECREASE the running processes to 35-40. I decreased mine to a number of 33-35 so when i go playing BF2, i certainly DONT have useless stuff running in the background. Do the same. DRIVERS
6. Install latest drivers for everything, including BIOS.

C DISC & Defragmentation  (  hardware tricks )
7. I dont know capacity of your discs but C disc HAVE TO have enough space. So i ll say : keep at LEAST 50 GB of space on disc C and also defragment it. That means that you compress all the data. Very usefull and does no harm. Go to : My computer / click Properties / Tools / Defragment Now. 1st click on Analyze and then on defragment. Defragmentation is a process which puts all the data on the disc together, tho they were on different parts of the disc before. So IF you want to run a program and your C disc starts loudly, means that he has to SEARCH for all the data of the program which are all over the disc. Defragmentation fix this, and even fraps runs better after it. Do that 1x per month.


CABLES & WIRES        ( house failures )
8. Now, i dont know the condition of where you live and stuff, but there are cases when people said that they have extremely bad internet and experts find out that their wires were too old and already falling apart or being damaged by water or mouses. If you live in a house i suggest you to change complete cable from modem to connection closet on the wall of your house. Use a big, fat info cable which can transport a lot of data, not just regular telephone wire. I dont know how this shit works in your country, but HERE, wire from modem goes into the wall, thru other walls untill it reaches small closet on outside wall. Here it connects with 1 cm wide cable which is going to the ground… anyway : IF the junction ( union / connection )  between house cable and that 1cm wide cable is bad, because of the leaking water when it rains or something else – PACKET LOSS. Check it, you may be surprised.


ISP  ( Internet Service Provider s fault ) – Rare but plausible
9. There is also a possibility ( but i doubt )… that your ISP filled his lines. Imagine this : at the start your ISP had only 100 costumers. Now it has 2000. this WILL reflect on your hitreg and overal connection.


COMPUTER COMPONENTS ( hardware )
10. Then again the problem might be in computer itself… did you add any new hardware components in last few months ? If they dont go well with each other – problem again. I doubt you have bad computer or anything, but if you for example changed graphic card which doesnt fit it with the processor you have and ram you have – not good. Before buying components which dont go well with each other, inform yourself.


CLEANING the COMPUTER ( Inside & Inside   )
11. Clean your computer by yourself. Delete all files you dont need ( and thats a LOT ). I searched every single map of both my 320 GB discs to check what is IN IT and what does it do. DO THE SAME, you cant even imagine how much shit you can find. + Uninstall all the programs you DIDNT use in last 2 months. There is obviously no need for them to be installed and take place.Uninstalling can be also done in CCleaner.If i look right NOW to my list of programs, i see at least 10 of them can get removed, since they  r useless and i am not even using them. You can also clean your computer from the inside. After some time there is TOO MUCH dust in your computer. That slows it down because the computer overheats. Take it apart and clean all components.


OVERHEATING   
12. Overheating – i dont know which fans or coolers you have inside, but tbh, to computer work perfectly temperature gotta be around 40 degrees Celzium. Download Easy Tune to measure the temperature. I dont know about you but i have 2 big fans and 1 cooler with heat pipes to cool down the comp properly.

TRICKS & Tips  TO HELP
13. When you start to play, terminate firewalls ( including windows firewall ), and Antivirus. Some AV are scanning internet traffic so that can also slow it down. It wont reflect in lagg, but the speed of internet just wont be that fast. Also terminate everything what uses internet except of xfire/ventrilo / TS.

14. You can also re-install your bf2, but i think you already did that. Well in bf2, in Options you have near HUD settings, crosshair settings – connection settings. Maybe you should try changing that from T1 to Cable .

15. Also, this might also slow it down a bit : PORTS on your modem. IF you open all ports that means that you ll give connection an opportunity to enlarge the speed. And then again : dynamic IP  or static IP. Dynamic IP is sometimes bad, because everytime the IP changes, that means that your connection needs to CONNECT the new IP to carry on. Check at your ISP, if you have static or dynamic.
16. You can also try : BF2 Cleaner. Just DL, extract, run the program and click on : Graphics Cache / show files / cleans files.  Then click on Logo Cache / cleanse Logos.  Its like CCleaner but for BF2.  And before  you start playing on server, type in console : pb_sleep 500  ( this means pb s gonna be checking you every 500 seconds, instead of 20 ). Press enter, re-open console and type : game.lockfps 900. I dont know exactly what it does, but sounds usefull.

17. Whatever you do : DONT. DONT do this :
- visit porn sites and DL »free« stuff – BAD idea.
- click on things like : »click to see me naked » or  » best software only for you » or » you are the 999.999 visitor, you WON !!! »
- visit websites for »free« cracks and cheat codes ( not hacks, but for single player games for example )
- open every single file which wants to be installed on your computer
- visit websites which looks unknown and offers you free solutions and free webscanes with only few simple clicks…
- download porn thru eMule, eDonkey, Kazaa, Limewire… USE TORRENT SITES FFS.
- trust to everyone on xfire who wants to send you something, even i can download hack tools and use it properly to sneak a virus for complete control on your computer.
- open emails from unknown people who r saying » Help us to donate for operation », » you just won on loterry », » 25.000 people died in earthquake » …

Those are things you DONT do. Be carefull. People wants to fuck you up, dont let them and be smart.

18. Buy yourself a network interface card. I actually doubt this will work, because i am saying like this : IF your computer sucks or its in bad condition, or IF your ISP sucks, NO CARD of this world can fix this. They can drop some ping and make you surf the internet faster too.  It offloads the internet processing work done by the CPU to the processor on the card so it will give you a little bit more FPS. Worthy a try ?


2 LAST OPTIONS  a.k.a.  Rise or Die
19. IF NONE of the above wont help, i give you 2 options. Reformatt your computer – dunno if this word is correct but i meant to say that you DELETE EVERYTHING from harddrives and you install complete system AGAIN. 2nd option is : change your ISP.


IF you will actually go THRU all those, i BET you CAN improve your hitreg.

And tbh, now you can see how many things i have done and nothing helped. I changed 3 ISP by now, but my problem lies in connection network. Network is too small and too much people is connected to it – this is for people who dont believe i have bad reg. Fuckers.





TWEAKS / CONFIG  (  bah )
20. I DONT support tweaking. I bet that there is NOBODY who could truly say : » i had bad hitreg, i tweaked, and my hitreg  is now GOOD ALL THE TIME ». But still. MANY of you tweak, so i found a little gift for you ( useless for me )… so here ya have it :
