Q and E or, Right Ctrl and KP_INS
On ps3 they were gonna make it so tipping the controller makes you lean, but then they didn't..

i use Q and E in cod4.
I use Q and E, but then I screw up on games that don't have lean. I always press those buttons, but nothing happens.

im a q and e type myself but i do kno ppl that use the arrow keys and use like End and delete for leaning
For all I use them, they might as well be F9 and clicking the scroll wheel down...

QE, but now that i realize it...i hardly ever use the lean function anyway
lol CoD4 was the first game I ever even had the choice to lean so at first it was a bit awkward but I find the default Q and E buttons the best configuration, especially since I don't move while leaning, I mean, I can't see a reason why you'd be moving and leaning at the same time in the first place >.>.
I see some ppl said they don't use Q and E at all but just pop around corners (i'm assuming with A and D) but I find it's harder to go back to cover with only A and D cuz you build up some momentum moving out of cover and pause for a split second b4 moving back and as we all know, a split second can mean life or death in FPS's.
Also, at first I found that with Q and E I couldn't duck back far enough as in when I let go of a lean button I just moved only a couple inches back to neutral, but I fixed that by instead of just letting go, I pressed the opposing lean button to get even further back behind cover. This is probably a common strategy but w/e, like I said, this was the first FPS i've ever had lean buttons.
