I have noticed some key sticking and lag, may be due to programs running for the LCD. Keys are a little small. Those are just my little peeves. Let me know what you think.

I think its great... dont get any lag/sticky keys
Do you eat/drink/fap near your keyboard? If so, that might be why the keys are sticky.
The keyboard is brand new. No food around it to make keys stick. Might just be my playing style. Gots' to change it up a bit.
First G15 FTW!
tbh....

I was using the earlier version of the saitek keyboard(the black one) and found that the keys were "sticky" as well. I also use (now don't laugh) a Logitech trackball. I can't use a regular mouse because it hurts my wrist and I hate having to pick the thing up and move it and pick it up again and move it... I find that I can just leave the mouse on my target and click away firing off enough rounds to eliminate my foes! HA HA HA! Oh sorry.

I like the new keyboard for the reduced footprint... I use all of one G key, and it's a bitch fitting my kb/mouse/joystick all on the same pull out tray w/ the extra wide G15 v1. I also like the integration of the LCD and buttons around it instead of the flip up thing on v1. I only use one G key so I'll probably buy the new one just for the smaller footprint when I get a spare hundred bucks.
PS - what do you guys use your G keys for? The only one I have programmed is 'fire' but with the 'repeat while pressed' option selected, for use on the TV missle. Haven't come up with anything useful for the rest... Anyone have interesting mouse settings too? Just got a G5 and the tilt wheel is begging for two functions to be assigned... radio comm? quick spot (dual bind thing)?....

I need to test out some macros and see if they work for me, like instant c4 throwing, jump throwing, etc. 18 keys are just way overkill, and 3 sets of 18 keys lol.ph4s3 wrote:

It's nothing special, other than it looks cool.
I don't use macros, so I don't appreciate the other 18 keys.

I have the first version, and frankly I couldn't give a shit about the macro keys beside that they make the keyboard longer. and are practically useless in an fps. I use them to launch programs.
only 6 macro keys but add the M1 M2 M3 you have the same total keys....18.Phatmatt wrote:

and I got it yesterday with the G5 mouse...(you can add weight to it!!! 16 smalls weights 8 x 1.7g and 8 x 4.5g.)
I'm just having trouble to configure the macro keys...
If you count M1 M2 and M3 mine has 54 macro keys...Loonyk wrote:

I have the first one, but yeah, it's really good. Nothing special like the G15 macro keys and LCD though. Not that I need those.
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
I use 3 G keys in BF2, the ones just outside Lshift, for TS , VOip and VOip Commander
I've had it for about a week, and I've loved it.
Ultra-smooth typing, keys are quiet, and I've not come across sticking keys or lag. Then again, I don't eat/drink when I use my computer...only water on occasion.
The LCD "GamePanel" screen with the BF2 Display MOD works perfectly, and comes bundled with a Ventrilo display program (see your clan buddies, who's talking, who's online, etc.), as well as the usual useless shit Logitech enjoys to add on. The System Resource monitor is handy though...basically it makes me feel more guilty about having to buy more RAM.
I haven't used/tried the Macros yet...I was thinking of assigning the row to all of my weapons (G1=Knife, G2=Pistol, G3=main weapon, etc.) because it might be easier then to jam on the number row, or scroll wheel (which ends up over or under-scrolling anyways)
The backlit keys are great too...two brigtness settings. IMO, you'll end up using the brighter one because the other one is simply useless. Other then that, this keyboard rocks!
Definitely worth the $100 I paid for it. I upgraded from a stock Dell keyboard, and this thing makes all the difference. These keyboard is a great upgrade from a regular keyboard (manufacturer ones, laptop keyboards), or really from anything.
[NOTE: I use the G15 in combination w/ the Logitech G5 mouse.]

Mmm..from what I am reading its is basically a G15 V1 in orange with less macro keys O.o. That does not take away the fact that it is an awesome keyboard. But.. blue > orangeTopHat01 wrote:
