Okay... If Anyone Has Posted This Before.... I Havent Saw It So Sorry


i bought battlefield 2 deluxe edition today, and i have installed it all and theres a problem....i need to download and update the new patch and it downloads and i save it to the desktop so when it starts installing it stops and just closes.....i have updated my video card....when i try to open the multiplayer it closes down battlefield 2 and just takes me top the desktop
Im REALLYY ANNOYED!!!!!! as i only got it today and i really want to play it, im so annoyed...i feel like ive been ripped off
can anybody help me.....?!


p.s/ i have everything fine for it i checked the requirements....please help me, im soooo desperate!!!!!

Try downloading the patch from a different website.

Reinstall BF2 before you patch.

Make sure you close all background processes before you start the patch.

What patch have you downloaded and is it a full patch or an incremental ?

Its a full patch and ive tried it from all sorts of websites....it just freezes the computer or sometimes it just gets to a certain point and it stops installing

If it gets to a certain point and stops, don't worry! For myself and a friend, it would keep getting stuck at 8%, but then after a short bit, it'd jump up ahead. Just be patient and let it do its thing

jakecun - i found that if you do anything other than the patch it tends to be tempermental

just launch it and turn your monitor and go do something for and hour or 2 =]
