I have the same case, it is a beast.  same monitor, excellent. same CPU and cooler, both great.

you may want to consider a beefier PSU in case you ever want to go SLI.

750W wouldn't be enough? It said it was SLI capable Anything in mind?

As long as there's enough HD space for your needs Omni looks all good.

I was looking at the amp ratings for you GPU, says on the evga site that it requires a 12v rail @26amps.  the 12v rails on your PSU are only rated @18amps.  that may or may not cause a problem.

That looks awesome, for the price too!

Yea, you might want to get a bigger hard drive though, Ive got 500GB and Ive already used about half/ish.

Also added a DVD player... would have sucked to forget that.

I don't think it will cause a problem. My 12V lines are only rated 18A and the 8800GT recommends 24A or some outrageous number. My computer runs fine, never crashed due to any video card problems.

Combine them together with multiple; he has way more than enough.

I don't think it is, its not the Wattage which is the problem but the amps on the 12v rail.

On that PSU it is only 18 amps and for the 8800gt/s you need 25-30 amps.

it has 18 amps per rail with 4 12v rails.  Any psu with multiple rails has a max I believe of 20 amps per rail.  pci-e power connectors have more than one 12v line which will pull from different rails i believe.  if you need more than 20 amps on a rail then even a 6 rail 1300 watt psu wouldn't power it.

750W PSU should be fine for SLI. IM running dual 8800GTS on 750W of power

Good job, really nice build. I would have picked the normal 9700 over that one, though. The biggest differance is that it's grey and green...

Great otherways, wonderful choice in HDD, I have the 160GB model, and it's quick and silent. You're gonna be happy with this rig
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

You might want to wait a little while and get one of the new 1333 quads only a few $/£ extra Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5GHz BX80580Q9300, 1333MHz FSB, 6MB Cache, new Yorkfield core

..lower power consumption = Less heat = higher OC potential ( if thats what you want lol...)

Also have you considered the Samsung spinpoint HD's very quiet in operation...

If you're bothering with 5.1 speakers, get an X-Fi sound card and some 7.1's.

Too late, now that you ordered though.

Just finished putting it together, and have the pics taken, I'll upload them as soon as I get Vista installed.

I had planned on a sound card, but I decided against it (the extra money went to other parts ). Also, 7.1 would just be too many speakers for my little studio
