Yeh, but iceland is like a geographers wet dream, the amount of tectonic activity you guys have is mental!
too bad it's fucking freezing there
Not really, it's -3°C right now

Temperature difference is very low here, winter goes down to -20°C, summer goes up to 20°C.

My monitor and bottle of water appeared to be shaking and I thought it wos because I'd sat down on my chair too quickly, that maybe it wos just my chair/body shaking. But then I noticed that my desk wos shaking too and it wosn't due to the recent construction work nearby.

I guess us Londoners also felt the tremors down here in the South East

Aftershock?

Or secondaries leading the way for something bigger?

I guess the whole country felt it, I got it up here in Newcastle.  Like I say, I thought I was trippin', still no reports on BBC news 24.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

I dunno, we don't really cover Earthquakes much in Geography, cause they don't tend to happen on the scale that many other places experience, but i'd guess it was an aftershock.

Looking at the Richter classification, i'd say we just had something in the region of 3.5 -5.4 on the scale!

Nothing on the BBC news website yet. The tremor here wos about 10 seconds long, enough to notice that something wosn't quite right. Went to ask my bro if he felt it but the lazy bugger's already in bed

Same here in London. It went off while I was playing TF2. I thought it was far too late and far too long for it to be a lorry driving past. Some guy in-game asked if anyone in the UK felt an earthquake too.

I remember up in Rochester (New York you UK nubs) they had a pretty powerful earthquake...I was like in 3rd grade and it woke me up. I'm like "what the fuck".

'Twas cool

Happens all the bloody time here. New Zealand is a couple of volcanic islands on a fault line, Earthquakes are a part of life here.

Yeah TV news, the ugly reporter who they put on in the small hours briefly mentioned "reports accross the UK".
