Is there any point of buying the new booster pack? I know there are new maps, vehicles and weapons but surely that could be added to a patch. When i got SF i was a little dissapointed becuase there was not much really different, dont get me wrong i play SF, but is this new booster going to be worth it. i dont want to pay another £15-20 for a few maps n vehicles

Views and opinions?

i thought it was only 5.99? im gonna buy it but i will say SF was a big dissapointment but this looks to be better suited as it fits in with normal rotations!

well im not sure how much it is but SF was in that price rang, i jus dont see why these cant be placed onto a patch seperate from the current one. like a patch just for new maps, vehicles and unlocks, and then EA can make patches tto imprvoe the game and get rid of bugs

I dont like the way EA are jumping on this online-buying bandwagon - Why should the BF2 community become alienated in itself just so EA can make a few quick bucks with stuff that shoulda been in SF?
Personally if it has to be done i think EA should at least have the decency to release both booster packs in CD/DVD form for those of us who cant or wont purchase online. A hard copy of these packs would be nice, as we are dealing with PC's here and the are notoriously tempromental...
EA have just got the publishing rights to HL2 - whats next? BF2 booster packs through steam?
At least i'd trust steam *slightly* more than EA downloader....

You aren't sure why EA isn't just making this a patch? Money!!!!!!!! That is why. Why else? Look at the new 1.2 patch. It has new bugs with it. EA is probably making another game already, otherwise, that patch would'nt be so buggy. These booster packs are just to crank out more money from us. They don't get paid for patches, but they do for these. I am not too enthusiastic about these booster packs, not because of the money, but because these packs will probably have lots of bugs in, just like the patch.

fellas, its only $10 or something....its a "might as well" kinda thing....lol....cuz you know servers are goin to be putting parts of the pack in rotation and stuff, so in a sense your almost forced to buy it....oh well, im goin to.

I won't buy it. I know SF would have been a complete waste of money had it not been for the extra unlocks. I never play SF, I don't care about the new vehicles or maps.

My predicament is that I always play on the same server, and they don't run SF maps because not everyone has it. So, in all likeliness, they won't run EF maps either, so for me, there's no reason to buy it.

Is it worth Getting the Booster before they fix the bugs they just released? Maybe we should hold out and force them to fix the new glitches before we all run out and give them more money.

I don't see a problem paying $10 bucks for this and $10 for the next booster pack. It pretty much is like buying an expansion pack anyway. Besides, the more money EA makes from the sales of these booster packs will probably mean that they will continue to put out more material for the game, whether its in a booster pack or expansion pack form.

No credit card? I believe gamestop and other VG stores are selling a booster pack card you can use to purchase it through the downloader. As far as getting it? Why not? $10 is worth the hours of entertainment it provides. I do agree however that I'd rather have a hard copy...
