It looks like TechCrunch did some digging and uncovered the actual reason behind the Stage6 shutdown. Apparently a clash of egos will be snatching the goodness that is Stage6 from us all.

Sounds like the typical corporate cockup to me. Got an offer giftrapped and greed kicked in. Don't ever kick a gifthorse in the mouth. Expensive lesson learned to the loss of everyone else.

Once the deadbeats on the board are gone, maybe stage6 can make a comeback.
