I'm an introvert and I've noticed that most introverts who have a grip on their lives and are totally sane are much more happy people than extroverts. Extroverts have to always go around and do stuff to try and feel worth anything, They need to be doing something to keep their mind off their horrible problems they made themselves.
You can't live a happy life without being happy by yourself first.
But being able to talk with people you want to isn't against the idea of introversion, we are all people, we shouldn't be divided in a dualistic manner.
Just think of it this way: You're never going to be with one person happily for the rest of your waking life, However, you can count on living with yourself (happy or not) for that time.

Two options.
1. Flat out say you dont want to go out. That would leave a bit of a bitter taste to her, and she may just be a flirty twit that does it for shits. She then laughs, and never speaks to you again. Or you remain friends, but it still could hurt her if she wants you.
2. Flirt, have fun. If she's not asking you out persistently, you're not going out with her and you don't have to do jack shit if you don't want to. Point here is go with whatever is happening now and if she ever blatantly asks you to go out with her, then just say no you don't want a girlfriend now. If you do this, you can go out with her when you get out of your funk or she asks you, you say no, and she hangs around a bit less.
Better then the first either way. Bottom line, screw around and don't stress over it. Everyone flirts, she may not even want to go out with you but don't push her away as it closes a door to her and you.
