the right music makes me do crazy things in BF2, like reviving a downed buddy infront of a tank or something stupid and heroic
If I have any music on is Black Hawk Down Soundtrack on the Stereo..... Or a Military Movie on like GI Jane or Black Hawk Down...
And are people Serious that that don't want the commander spotting for them? Surely you would want that, and a squad leader/commander talking and helping out....

You misread... I clearly said "the voip is even worse when abused" I still have voip enabled because I constantly play with people who do "help out" but when you get those kids who just want to talk and talk and talk because their parents never loved them or whatever it is very annoying. Those people get muted real quick!IronGeek wrote:

Oh yeah, good point. sorry My Bad. I agree 100%
So question: How do some people punish so quickly for accidental team kills. Like the ones that punish before the sound of the hit hasn't even finished?

-yeess!- I hate the VOIP crap. I sometimes leave a squad just because the idiots wont shut up when im trying to find a sneaky sniper or somesuch.
It's ashame that VOIP is abused so much. I actually use it properly and it's always nice when you find that occasional other person who does too. I think that every parent who buys their 13-year-old a mic should be shot. Like the comical BF2 guide talks about "Painfully white with balls in throat..." (for the regulars: in case you couldn't tell, that's my bible ).
I don't need music during the game. The music during the Chinese maps loading gets me so pumped- ERRRGG YAAA, FUCK YA! ROOOOOCCKKKK ONNNNNN!!!- sorry, anyway...
Here is my brief list of rules for proper VOIP use:
1.Use minimal speech to say what you need to say. i.e. "Hey guys, there seems to be a lot maybe one or two enemy snipers and assaulters laying down gernades and and claymores at the northwest corner of the base by the bridge. I think we need back up there right now so don't be noobs and come help us guwys." NO it's "bridge base under attack, reinforce!" YES
2.Absolutely no personal comments, complaining or taunting.
3.Listen before talking. i.e. you were so busy telling your crapy little 2 man squad to noob tube the medic who is afk that you failed to hear you commander warn "incoming arty for the 50th time numbnuts"
4.Right when the game starts, it's a good idea to ask if your volume and clarity is good so that the team doesn't hear you eating your cheetos when you talk because the mic is 1/2 a millimeter from your mouth.
5.Make sure you push the right button. it really isn't polite to tell your commander that he is a terrible squad and can't even manage to take the base that he is 5 klicks away from (awefully confusillating)
6.Don't be pedantic when giving orders because the next crap commander that tells me he's gonna "edumacate" me on proper infantry v. tank skills, I will come to your fucking house and paint your computer with urine!
7.Be polite it helps team morale to say thanks now and again. if this didn't work, militaries world-wide wouldn't appreciate their troops for the past... since combat began.
And that's about all. G'night everybody! -Dr. Nick "The Simpsons"
Just kidding, I'm not going anywhere yet tonight MUWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

This is true. I've played a few times while one the phone. It's extremely difficult. There ain't no warning if you're about to get shot.TwistedX wrote:

I never play with music on. sound is just too important in FPS. Also, it wouldn't make much sense, as I use a headset most of the time ( no need to inform everyone else in the building I'm flattening people with my handy 50 cal. )
especially the elderly may react a bit disturbed to the sound of machine gun fire....

As I Lay Dying
30 Seconds to Mars
Slipknot
30 Seconds to Mars
Slipknot
Anything that will get the adrenalin going in a fight, demons and wizards, Blind Guardian, Dragonforce etc... Most of its power metal or heavy metal for me ^^. Although, Battlefield is best without music at all, I only break out the music at special occasions
