unfortunately, i am not going to partcipate. audiosurf was the program that would restart my computer and give me the BSOD telling me my HD was about to die. although i'm sure AS isn't the source of the problem...i'm pretty much scared to play that game. weird huh?

edit: oh, and i'm still waiting for my HD to come back from Seagate.

You might want to make the song title and artist name unique so that the only people on the leaderboard will be BF2S members.

The portal song has unknown - unknown, so it's difficult to track the scores.

This game is the tits note, btw.

Okay... We take a song, and edit the ID3 tag to say "Track -- Artist [bf2s]" So, for instance "Bohemian Rhapsody -- Queen [bf2s]" make sure the capitalization is the same for everyone... lowercase would be the easiest to remember. This way, we can clearly see the song and band, but the highscores will be exclusive to our group.

edit: Although, i'm not sure how to edit ID3 tags

or... and i'm not sure if this works... but I'll try it... find the song file in Windows Explorer, right click and go to properties, then go to the "summary" tab. Once there, click "advanced" and a bunch of info should open up and be editable. simply add [bf2s] after your artist name. Example: "Queen [bf2s]" Note the space after 'Queen,' all the lowercase letters, and no space after the [bf2s] tag.

But what if we're using xp64 and it's fucked up and won't let us edit audio files that way?
If worse comes to worse we could post screenies, but this thread would be spammed fast.
However, I will be switching to Vista just as soon as the SP comes out, so then I'll get around to the bf2s tagging

Most good media players will allow you to edit id3 tags. Winamp and windows media player both allow you to. I don't know what the problem with xp64 is, but if neither of those worked i'm sure you could find something on google.

I'm still not sure whether that would actually be deemed illegal. There are loads of forums out there that post links to copyrighted material on RS, yet dodge the bullet because they don't actullay host the file on the website.

If it is, then the problem of people not having a particular song arises, unless we choose only freely available music (which would suck).

Personally i'm not fussed because the RIAA can't touch me in Ruddistan , but i'm sure it could be a problem for others.

Well i posted a high score based on the ID3 tags i listed earlier. It was on Elite using Ninja Mono --- 38892.

No idea how good the scores will be because i 've only just started playing, but either way the competition should be good.

Yes start the day it is officially released on steam.

You are in charge of ID3 tags cause I have nfi I will do the winner bars though.
