Planes are definitely my favorite trophies.... and I kinda enjoy the head on strafers cause i get to see their
wreckage crash and burn right in front of my nose.
Hopefully I can help u get some more...

What are thoughts on max run time for this?

8-10 mins for a general video imo, maybe longer if your making a guide.

It'd be a pleasure to drop some good words, and hopefully drop some aerial noobs.

thanks gun!...  well, its a tutorial... I'm trying to keep it under 30 minutes, but its hard.
I don't want it to go too fast, and I dont want it to get boring either.

It goes into full detail with footage showing a series of 9 training exercises,
each one building upon the previous ones that will develop the
motor skills and coordination needed to fire quickly and accurately on the move
at just about any target you can see.

Thanks guys... be sure to give my regards to whiner baby =FoW= Goose927

If he owns the server, he can shove it up his A**

If he's just an admin, someone needs to spank his baby butt, and lift my ban.

Its a good server.

Hmm, I'll be on the lookout for that guy. His stats: http://bf2s.com/player/62453106/

When it's full and has an admin on, I'll try my charm on the locals.

I'll be doing real good if I finish it before the end of this month.
I'm shooting for earlier, but who knows... i'm very much the perfectionist, but i want to get this one done asap.
I have 2 other projects I want to start...  a comedy and a movie spoof. (the comedy may or may not be tank vs AC)

All of my narration is written out, and I'm halfway through recording it.
Most of the video is on hand.  Lots of editing to do.

I hate making promises, because i'm also at the mercy of my real job.

I'm certainly far enough along into  it that I can say it WILL happen soon.

Thanks!

Oh I not so bad... its a video with kills only.
If I showed how many misses it took to get those kills,
everybody would be saying I suck.
yeah... but i've shot down two jets....TWO.... in 1440 hours of play.   Thanks for ruining my pride.

Thanks!

They said my intro was staged???
Well, for the record, Safrgun's revenge has 3 staged kills in it... the ones where I jumped terrain features.
I got so much positive response from those kills that I decided to see how far I could go with it...

so I did 7 much harder jumps in Animal.  Jump shots are probably the easiest trick shots there are.... but theres simply
not much opportunity for them in game.  I was also in a hurry to get the video done cause I was ticked.
I wanted more first person lateral jet kills to show I wasn't cheating, so yeah.. in animal I used people that
were just flying around knowing I was shooting at them without shooting back.... mainly in Kubra.
HOWEVER,  the majority of shots in Animal are STILL IN GAME.
I got beat up pretty good for the staged shots in Animal...  I won't be doing that any more.

In Jet-Eye Intro, there is 1 staged shot... the railroad track chopper kill... re-frapped from Revenge...
I wanted one kill from my previous movies, and I chose that one to demonstrate a terrain shot.
EVERYTHING else is in game.  The opening kill is from "Animal".

btw...  I have all my narration recorded... down to editing now.

Thanks!

As promised, I have been working on a tanking tutorial.
I spent most of the last couple of weeks learning Sony Vegas 8.0,
and I put my intro together over the weekend.
I have most of my footage for the body of the tutorial,
and will just need to compile it with narration.  (2-3 weeks?)

I'm very new to vegas, and i'm still experiencing some problems I need help with.
My main problem right now is that for some reason windows explorer
keeps crashing on me when I try to open up folders containing rendered files from vegas.
This problem does not transport with the file to other computers, but it does
transport to other folders on my computer if I move the file.
I think something has corrupted my explorer app.
(But it only happens in folders that contain Vegas files.)

My other problem is configuring the divx codec for optimal size and quality.
I followed instructions from a tutorial I listed in the movie thread list,
but I don't know if this really is the best solution.
I'm not totally satisfied with the quality yet I got on Stage 6... I know it can be better.

Anyway, any feedback for tweaking my intro for the final release would be appreciated.
I'm not promoting this anywhere else until it is done.

Thanks!... and I hope you enjoy this!

I have no idea how many hours I used to  spend in pre-game...
but I would imagine it still represents a figure at least 3-5 times greater than my current ranked hours.
Thats where I did all of my practice.  I spend much less time there now.

You should be quite the wicked one if this tutorial sheds any light for you...
thats a lot more ranked hours than I got.

I might be able to finish it this week... but no promises.
Got my narration all recorded, and that was what I dreaded the most.

It's like dragshooting a sniper rifle with some key differences.

There's more to it though, because of the way a turret responds to mouse movement
as opposed to infantry,  terrain, suspension, and the degree of lead involved.

I do believe though that the concept has transferrable properties to it.
I just havn't developed it for other weapons.

The concept also gets into how and why dragshooting is so effective... because it is so similar.

Hmm, I never do dragshots as sniper. I never play on Karkand and the technique is quite worthless at ranges over 200m.

But I've seen enough of those sniper videos to get the idea. ^.^

Dragshots are the way to go, I'm no where near as good as some people with dragshots but I'd class myself as "Getting there"

The difference with a dragshot is that it takes .3 seconds to do, as apposed to lining up a shot and making sure you really are "on the head" which can take a few seconds (A few seconds you can do without being stationary)
