GPU choice

So I want to buy a new GPU to replace my 7900GT, but I can't really decide which one to get:

- Choice one: 8800GTX (~330 euro)

- Choice two: 8800GTS G92 (~290 euro)

- Choice three: 8800GT with zalman cooling, so easily OC'd to GTS speeds. (~220 euro)

My maximum resolution is 1280 x 1024.

Rest of specs:
E6600 @ 2.8Ghz
4GB 800Mhz DDR2
550W huntkey PSU

annnd GO!

Get the 8800GT imo. If you only play at that res, it should be enough.

Plus it's only one PCI-e slot cooler, and the cheapest of those 3 cards.

8800GT will do. I play on 1680x1050 and the beast can handle everything on high, except shitcrysis.

Get the 8800gt because your not going over 1280x1024. The GTS g92 only outperforms the GT if your playin with higher resolutions.

The GTX may get 2 or 3 frames higher than the GT, but is that really worth the extra chunk of change?

I think I'm going to buy THIS one (8800GT with zalman cooling). It's already OC'd but with a cooling like that it can easily run on GTS speeds. + it saves me 70 bucks! I have 3 fans in my case so heat shouldn't be a problem.

So the GTS seems a waste of money IMO. As I can get the same for 220 euro. Now: Is the GTX really worth its money? How will it run crysis compared to a GTS (aka OC'd GT)

i <3 my gtx. all games so far at all high settings. no problems. (except crysis, but its pos coding imo)

edit: lol i just read the part that u want it for crysis. with everything on ultra high settings, it gets a bit choppy when there is a lot going on the screen. its not exactly unplayable, but it is rather annoying. all other games so far have been smooth sailing.
