Say something of lolarific proportions happens and the UK invades Canada. Who would the US send its aid to? Would said aid be in the form of supplies, intelligence, or even military action? Would the US simply remain neutral?

- If the UK invaded Canada who would the US side with?
Poll
In the case of a British invasion of Canada the USA would:
Aid the UK with military force. | 15% | 15% - 10
Aid the UK with supplies. | 1% | 1% - 1
Aid Canada with military force. | 30% | 30% - 20
Aid Canada with supplies. | 10% | 10% - 7
Remain neutral | 41% | 41% - 27
Total: 65 |
fuckem both
Aid the UK with military force, U.S. and U.K. always work together. So doubt that U.S. would stay neutral considering that we are in the middle of every minor conflict.

Canada would have lost before the US even realised there was a war going on.
EDIT: My land. You stay on your island.

We would probably do what we have historically done - send aid to both - especially because Canada is a huge trading partner and UK is a huge political ally.
We'd wait for you two to fight it out, then kick the shit out of both of you.
Sounds alot like what happened after the Civil War.Agent_Dung_Bomb wrote:

They would obviously aid Canada with military force. The UK would, rightly, be perceived as the country in the wrong (as the aggressor).
I think U.S. has stronger ties to U.K. than to Canada. When U.S. goes to bomb some country U.K. tags along all the times and vise versa most of the time.Bertster7 wrote:

Well, for me I say we'd remain neutral and try to sort it out as fast and efficiently that we can. If one side was being demolished, we'd send aid but not get involved.
It's a very hypothetical situation though so it's hard to see who the U.S. would side with. Unless Britain had a revolution and neo-nazis took over (or something to the sort), Britain would be what the US would most likely support.
So do the Canadians.blademaster wrote:

So what?blademaster wrote:

You guys are not looking at this sensibly.
If the UK had a valid reason for invading Canada (although any feasible scenarios are difficult to think of with this sort of implausible situation), then the US would probably help. If the UK just suddenly started invading Canada (as the OP seems to suggest), the Canadians would run to the US screaming for help and the US would almost certainly give it.

U.K. and U.S. have very strong ties Canada does not always support U.S. actions.Superior Mind wrote:

Is that possible? It's not really a sensible hypothetical, not really.Bertster7 wrote:

UK has a very small military and doesnt really have the Naval Power nor resources to conduct such an invasion. Would be slow and tedious.Aries_37 wrote:

US would side with Canada, no doubt. Its the US' #1 Trading Partner and to let someone roll over your neighbor would be extremely against the American way. After kicking the UK's ass, they'd probably then take the UK.
invade iraq
i'd go with that. just follow my favourite doctrine: make the world americaAgent_Dung_Bomb wrote:

Ask the Presidential candidates.
Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
I'd say aid the U.K. in exchange for getting to keep Windsor. Full nude strip clubs+casinos+Canadian beer+Cuban cigars=WIN.
Aid to Canada
Military to UK
Military to UK
Brits invading Canada?
If the events that led to it are irrelevant I'd say it would support the country getting invaded, Canada.

The Canadian North is essential to the defense of the United States (in controlling absolutely North America in prevention of attack). Destabilization and an uncontrolled north would cause that system to be in doubt.
Why would we invade canada? We already own it, we'd be using it as a staging area to invade the US and reclaim what is rightfully ours.
You do realize you'd be owned about 200x as hard as you were in 18th Century?Skorpy-chan wrote:
