well, there are a lot of Stalingrad movies, but the one Germans made in a 1991 (I suppose though I can check that) had the best impression on me. It was pure reality. + Cross of Iron. Just try to torrent them, I am sure that you will definitely find Stalingrad though not so sure about Iron Cross. Believe me, you would like them!

Also I forgot 2004 (?) Russian movie "Star" or "Zvezda". Its also great and its about scout group operating behind enemy lines while SS-Viking is preparing for counterattack.
And like for all Russian movies- there is no happy end.

Band of Brothers (First place no doubt in my book)

Black Hawk Down (Pretty good, but too hollywoodish)

Saving Private Ryan(Very good, but I will hate that german soldier forever, **** Nazis, yes neo-Nazis aswell)

Enemy at the Gates (Very cool, too bad for the little kid, lol the only time he gets caught is when he didn't do anything wrong)

Flyboys (makes your realize grunts on the ground aren't only living hell)

The Longest Day (Very well done, oh and were the germans realy that stupid about the 'cricket'?)

The Great Escape (I loved dat one)

A Bridge Too Far (Never heard of Op-Market Garden, until I saw BoB, then I wanted to see this movie)

One I would really reccomend is:

To End All Wars - Not your average allies charging up the beaches and fields of northern France film, I saw this recently and it is extremely moving. A story about Scottish POWs in Burma, I reccomend this.

Another being Bridge on the River Kwai.

I can't remember the name, but there was a docudrama on the western front on BBC, that was brilliant as well.

I HATE THEM! man, i even hate black hawk down. this movie is not demanding(?) at all. shame on you ridley scott! having done blade runner and alien and then this...

Apocalypse Now is my favourite film in the world and im glad to see so many people like it, as loads of people hate it. Which version do you like more, the original or redux?
