BF2S Forums SAMSUNG 2232BW 22" ---> BF2 always CRASH !

Take out the "+ widescreen 1" It doesn't do anything.

my video resulution i think that it is  1680x1050@60mhz, not 75mhz

PS: the most strange thing for me, it is that I can enter in the menu... i can enter in offline mode and play inside there... but if i try to click on every multiplayer server, i have always a crash .... bf2 crashs and i come back to desktop

noway... it doesnt work .... i tried with and without the +widescreen 1   but it immediately crash and closed  without opening...

Try the standard BF2/2142 story; Repatch, if that doesn't work, reinstall.

Also update your drivers.

i am going to reinstall all....    bf2-->armored fury-->euroforces-->special forces-->patch 1.41

i already updated my video drivers and I also repatched. i continue to feel totally confused if i think that if i play offline it works normally, but if i try to click on multiplayer server, it crashs....  :S

the monitor is fantastic in my opinion... but this game has some big problem with widescreens monitors i think...  please, let me to know your config, like the vga, cpu, hd, ram and so on.... and above all, let me updated when you will try to play... thanks!

sorry about the delay, but i had to reconfigure a few things first.
Setup:
mobo: Asus M2N32-SLI deluxe wireless ed.
ram: corsair 2 gb
Vcard : BFG Tech Geforce 7950 GT (PCI-E) 512 mb. Oc'd
Processor: AMD X64 Dual-core 5200+ @ 2.6ghz, Oc'd to 2950 mhz
2 sound cards, but no consequence: SoundMax HD Audio and Creative PCI

as for bf2: everything on high, resolution at 1280x10** (can't remember the last two)

i've got the monitor plugged in on DVI--that may be the difference.
what's your ingame setup? i didn't change anything in the files, only in the actual game, and it runs fine.

secondly, are you sure it's a monitor problem?

so you are playing all ok with  1680x1050 ?!    how can you ? what i have to reconfigure so ?

If your on Vista run it in Windows XP mode, and as Administrator... I had the same problem with that monitor.

i use xp pro sp2 .... how did you solve your problem?

i am not sure that it is a monitor problem... i think that it is somethign wrong with my system...drivers...or dll..or something similar... but i dont know what exately...

ok, i'll try analog now...no problem. i'll be back in a few minutes. in the ingame, all i changed was the resolution, so that it was 16:9 instead of 4:3.

check your drivers, if they are not updated for your monitor then you'll have trouble. What I do not get is why it would run single player and not multi-player. that's bizarre.
