You can customise every single key, so you could switch from English to Japanese charecters, or create a custom setup showing all the shortcuts in Photoshop for example.

Sounds like a cool idea, bit expensive at the moment though.

Well, Apple just patented the idea. How they're going to keep it with about a billion examples of prior art is a good question, but unless they're trolling, it's probably going to get going soon, and Apple loves fluff.

Yeah known about it for a while, cool gadget. But unless I all of a sudden get a huge amount of money I'll just wait till it's around the market and the price has dropped (or get another cool keyboard that's out at the time because indeed that caps lock and shift are at an annoying position).

Less then 500$ for that... I can sure say if the technology is still around in a decade or so I'll pick one up. Can't say at the age of 15 and focused on school I have the pocket for it.

It's damn cool and a great idea. It's definitely not a home or even gamer use, it's pure bragging rights/developer boutique.

Try tapping you desk for 30 seconds. It hurts the tips of your fingers to no end! Actual keyboards for the win at the minute..

The Tactus could work, if they'd make the typing surface lay on a somewhat bouncy surface. Should be possible enough, and would certainly reduce strain on the fingers.
Only problem would be that the image gets disformed when pressing a button.
