667MHz RAM will slow you down.
Don't go for SLi 8600s, rather an 8800GT.
What brand is the PSU?

For gaming I wouldn't recommend the 8600GT, althougt they are in SLi (correct?).

Alright, lets get a few things straight.
Pretty poor RAM. Get 800MHz RAM. Preferably OCZ.
Awful Hard Drive. 16MB Cache is the basic, never go for anything less. Get a Samsung SpinPoint.
AWFUL Graphics card. Get either one GT or GTS 8800. Never go for anything less. That will never play Crysis on high.

I will get a few more details on later.

Zimmer being a novice, why do you recommend a 8800 GTS 512MB card, and not 2x 8800 GT 512MB cards in SLI, can you explain mate i don't understand.

The 8600GT aren't a good card for gaming, not even in SLi.

You'll be much better with the 8800GTS 512mb.

Ok, here is a link to the benchmarking. The GTS ( new one, that is ) outperforms the GTX.
An SLI version of the 8600 will do nothing to upgrade your performance, because its an awful card anyway.

Dude, with that set up you can play most games right now on ultra high. You can play Crysis on high with a good FPS, and your computer will be a beast.

With a 8600GT? Dunno, haven't played Crysis yet but i read this card is rather weak when it comes to demanding games.

Yes 8800GT or 8800GTS 512 should be his only choices. If he has 50€ more to spend then he should definitively go with the GTS 512.

Did you read my post? I already included the GTS in my setup for less than what he is paying for that setup.
