So my brother was playing for me A LOT (thanks =]) and got me to rank 46 I think last night. I completed the M40 w/e sniper rifle challenge now I want to do the R700. But I can't seem to do any good w/ it! It has high recoil and whenever I put it dead on someone's body it misses still! Is there some kind of trick to it? Cheers!

I <3 R700. I do better with it than any other rifle. There's no trick that I know of. Maybe you need to hold your breath just a little longer.

The M40A3 has a 5 bullet clip, while the R700 has 4. The M40A3 also has a faster rate of fire, at the expense of lesser stopping power.

Like for longer distance shots it seems no good for me. But at closer-medium range its better. The M40A03 or w/e I can do long, short, and medium. Thanks.

Except for the number of bullets you carry, the number of bullets in a clip, and the rate of fire, there is absolutely no difference between the sniper rifles.

You know what i find funny? The Cod4 R700 uses the same .308 round as the m40a3 but yet it shoots like the L115 that uses the.338 Lapua magnum.
You know what? I hope they make an expansion pack with the royal marines and all their weapons, I cant wait to get my hands on an L85a2, L115a1, and the L22a2.

thats why if your left handed, you may find it better. (or something)

I love the R700, there no trick to it or any other sniper rifle. You just need to hold your breath a little bit longer then with the M40A3.

The R700 is the only sniper rifle I snipe with. I absolutely love it. I can't say I've had any problems with recoil, though, esp. since it's bolt action. Just practice I guess? Everyone has their own personal preference, so maybe the R700 isn't yours?
