Well here is the thing: Russia has greater power in the middle east, Russian specialists are working on a powerplant in Iran, which Iran happens to be an enemy to the US, I dont think US is really happy about that. I read somewhere that Russia is at odds with UK because some forger KGB was assassinated by Russian's in London. And US seems to be seeking military bases bases at the edge of the Russian homeland but they say that thats for enemies in North Korea and Iran, but the Russian president Putin believes that US intends to threaten them as well. US wants missile bases in Poland, and Alaska and there were are few other places.

Alexander Litvinyenko or something. He was assasinated by russians because he defected a while ago, our government called for the killer to be sent to the uk to stand trial, but he was made an mp in russia, and they have a law that mp's can't face trial or some bs.

I really don't see Russia and China fighting, I mean so much of China's military technology comes from Russia. If two countries can share military secrets, then they can't possibly be at odds with each other. Perhaps Russia is trying to regain it's position as a global superpower by reminding everyone of its nuclear weapons.
Uh?

The Chinese technology is copied, not lent. Sino-Soviet split?

Sino-Soviet spilt was patched up years ago, there are constantly joint exercises between the two nations lately. http://www.worldpress.org/Asia/2138.cfm

I think every one should take time to consider Russia's vast reserve of natural resources and booming economy. At the moment its the worlds second largest oil exporter http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/cabs/topworldtables1_2.htm and still has vast un-tapped fields in Siberia. Russia also supplies 25% of Europes gas supplies and Gazcom is the largest gas company in the world. I doubt its as week as everyone claims it is.

This pre-emptive nuke thing is in response to the missile defense shield that is purposed for Poland and the Czech Republic and it would clearly undermine Russia's nuclear deterrent even if its not actually been built with them in mind (Though I think its ridiculous to think Iran could ever build a ICBM and N. Korea would'nt fire one across Europe if attacking the US it would be shorter to fire across the west coast) Russia is just concerned it will have to up-grade  its a arsenal which I believe its doing anyway to some extent along with the US and Britain.

Reckon it's got anything to do with Kosovo?

Which, if I remember hearing on the radio right one day. Is now really close to declaring independence.

I know Russia is strongly opposed to Kosovo getting Independence and is a supporter of Serbia but I doubt it would use such language over that issue.

I think Russia is trying to say "Hey dont forget about us to!! we got nukes as well." they dont want America having all the fun of dictating foreign policies.

But i mean there are no real consequences for saying "we got nukes and were prepared to use them" and if they do nuke someone well its back to "we warned u but u wouldnt listen, now ur all dead and everyone fears us again."

The first story that came up April 10, 2006?
Which has what to do with its relevance?
.
Relevance: Amazingly two years later every single thing the United States has done in dealing with Iran has been inclusive, with restraint, and non militarily.

There is an obvious difference between the two stories. One comes from a CNN reporter speaking on behalf of unnamed military sources. The other comes directly from Russia's military chief of staff to reporters.

Russia, the largest country in the world, has China, the most populous country in the world, on their border.  Russia's population is shrinking and China's is growing...  Their aging military couldn't cope with China if there was a war.  To top it all off, President Bush is being an asshat trying to start another cold war with his ridiculous foreign policy towards Russia.
Thats exactly what scares me about this.  It seems like Russia is becoming more isolationist, this kind of stance says to the rest of the world that they see us as aggressors against them.  Its not so harmful when (relatively) small countries like Iran think this way, but when Russia starts talking like this, maybe we should take notice, to avoid falling blindly into another cold war.  It could happen...
I'm just happy that Bush's term as president is almost over.
Go back and read what's happened over the past 7 years WRT Russia and US relations. To use a trite comment, "they started it."

If you'll remember, Bush referred to his friend Vladimir as having a good soul, or some such shit. Not exactly bad foreign policy with Russia. Russia just feels upset that they are losing their prominence in the world and are attempting to regain it via threatening military action vice economic partnerships, as most other major powers (both existing and emerging--US, UK, China, etc) have done.

They remember what it was like when people respected Russia because they feared them, and think that's better than what they have now. More appropriately, it is poor Russian foreign policy, not bad US foreign policy that is causing the strain with Russia.

As for the missile defense shield bit...

As has been posted here many times before, the only missiles that the defensive sites could engage from Russia would be those inbound to Europe. Not outbound to the US or anywhere else. That's just not how those systems work. The Russians are relying on a public that doesn't bother to look into how the systems work and believes that everything the US does has nefarious purposes. And so far, it's working for them (at least here in BF2S, anyway).
