I mean the whole idea of AQ is to create as much anti-Muslim sentiment in western world as possible, to alienate western Muslims and divide the population. If the current anti-Muslim sentiment keeps growing than AQ is winning. Governments need to keep the Islam bashing in check, because if the "average Joes" get out of control you will get in a very bad situation where the people who happen to believe in Quran, will be treated as second class citizens.
