I know this is older than Jesus riding a dinosaur, but I thought I would share this with those who haven't seen or heard it.

Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album is regarded by many to be one of the greatest albums of all time. It was recorded in 1972-1973 in London, almost 35 years after the release of The Wizard of Oz movie. In some strange way, the two seem to correspond with each other. Listen and watch for yourselves. It's pretty cool.

Supposedly this will keep going throughout the entire movie. I haven't gone that far personally, and I believe the majority of the synchronized instances occur in the earlier stages of the film. There are more videos on youtube that should complete the movie, but I didn't post them all here. Note that some scenes are stronger than others, but you can definitely see some weird shit if you pay close enough attention. Have fun!

PS: If you've never heard this album, do yourself a favor and do so. Definitely one of the greatest of all time.

Saw this on Yahoo! the other day. My friends have always talked about it but I never really believed it.

Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

Pink Floyd is seriously the coolest band out there. They've got tons of stuff like this.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Heard about this awhile ago, but I've never actually seen it. I doubt Pink Floyd did it coincidentally.

Edit: or not.

From Wikipedia: When the album is played simultaneously with the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, numerous images from the film appear to synchronise with the music and lyrics. All band members (save Roger Waters) have firmly stated that the phenomenon is a coincidence.[22] This effect has often been called Dark Side of the Rainbow.

My mistake.

They approached Disney about doing a " unofficial soundtrack " but were shot down.

It is no accident and makes a cool watch.

Who the hell was listening to dark side of the moon and watching The Wizard of Oz at the same time? Wow. I wish I could get high enough to think this was amazing.

Vancouver, Washington. Plus bud probably wouldn't get me high enough. Actually I probably wouldn't make it any longer than 3 minutes before I stopped paying attention.
