I downloaded the new version of limewire (4.16.1). It's good and all, but what happened to the search fields where you enter the artist's name/genre/whatever? They are non existent, unless I'm a complete idiot and don't know how to turn them on.

They have, sadly, been legalised. So no more downloading music and shit. The search only comes up as "audio" because they don't want people to be making specific searches for artists illegally.

Limewire tracks all users activities of illegal downloading and the British and US government have the power to see what that is.

Don't use it. Unless you want to get fined.

let me tell you something, ive used limewire for actually over 2 years now (that, and frostwire for the most part) and the rest of the audio search was useless.

if you entered an artist in the song name, or a song name in the artist, it all brought up the same search results!

Bittorrent is the only slightly safe bet without paying. Thing is, its getting sued from right, left and center. Right now Europeans and Americans are nearly 100% safe from Torrent lawsuits. But soon enough people wont be.

If you are willing to pay. RS should do the job. Or a newsgroup ( usenet )

Yes. I thought it wasn't at first. But all versions can be tracked. The newer version have just implemented parts so that your searching and downloading is harder.
