This could be helped with one of those dynamic, live check-thingies that are on some sites. Like, when you register, it checks for username availability without you having to do a shit. Like, when you type in the thread title, it searches for it, and you might end up not making a thread.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity.
