That was fun.....the main race actually sucked, but everything after was good.

It sucked for a few reasons:
1. my teammate didn't show up
2. Snake made us pose for a picture and whenever we tried to we would all fall off the damn
3. no VOiP, this was a huge issue.

Rules needed to have been a little clearer to begin with, re no shooting before the first dam etc. We used TS so voice wasn't a problem.

I have a feeling EU Mod Server has demos enabled- but I will need to chech with liquidat0r first.

Hmm. I think maybe a vodnik/hummer race around somewhere with tight turns. Again with nerfed AT rockets, and on a suitably large map. This teamwork racing thing is fun.
Nah, I think for the most part, people thought it sucked. Nice effort, but it failed. A few things that need adjusted, turn off friendly fire if going with 2 teams, kick the idiots that ruined most of the races by shooting when not supposed to, enforce the rules and get a hold of the situation... I would like to see this type of thing tried again, but with more organzation.
My teammate had some problems with windows so he had CTDs... butt if you will make it with full boat it will be great

Great fun. My mate Slarty cracked me up the entire time. We tested the VOIP last weekend and found it failed (and commented the thread). As he said, we used the BF2S TS server and it worked wonders. I can't imagine doing that event without VOIP. Had lots of fun.Slarty wrote:

2) Why people were standing on the edges, I will never know. I was in fly-by camera with HUD off waiting, but all people could do was TK. I simply said we should do it...everyone agreed, and tked for I dont know how long. That was a big let-down.
3) The unranked server has always had problems with VOIP AFAIK.
Next time, if there is a next time, we need a few things sorting out.
1) GL's need to be toned down to match the weakened C4 and AT-Missiles
2) AT-Mines...not sure on that one, good for the leader, bad for everyone else.
3) FF should be off
4) Rules should be more clear, and more admins required (I believe only Alpha/Gary had it...maybe Doper too)
5) Perhaps raise the armour of the RIB's a little bit, I was surprised just how much armour they lost to small arms fire, especially PKM's and the mounted LMG's on the front (even if they werent meant to be used....)
6) Clarity of when shooting can start. At first, when it was stated "No shooting until after the drop"....I thought you meant vehicle drop Even though I was driving, thats what I was expecting.
Anyway....I have made a movie, which is uploading as I type (and yes, it includes my epic GL shot ).
