Last night I thought I take a few rounds at Great Wall, but when I pressed the "JOIN GAME" button I got a message that I had to buy the booster packs required to play this game. I didn't understand shit 'cause I bought BF2 Complete Collection. Have played AF for over 18 hours and EF for over 7 so I find this very strange.
I did take the disk out of the diskstation and ripped an ordinary music disk right before I should play, but that shouldn't have anything to say. There where no problem logging on to BF & SF. Tried that as well.

Have any of you had the same issue?? What did you have to do to make it work again? Do I have to uninstall and install again???

I'd be thankful for every useful information...

Try restarting your computer first.  Easiest possible fix.  If that doesn't work, a reinstall should do it.

I get that sometimes. I just try re-joining. If that fails, restart your modem, computer and any network gear like routers and switches.

I too have the BF2 CC.

I've seen this problem lately I have the AF/EU dvd and just a few days ago "after" I had played some AF at the end of game screen that little popup saying "I need to buy the booster pack to play this level" blah blah blah.

I logged off the BF2 game a logged back on to my account and that fixed it sometimes all that is needed is to try and rejoin again on the server.

Matter of fact I think it was server side because the whole server emptied out after that game too it was on a =SF= AF server it looks like all the other players had the same "bug".

But I find it strange though... I tried Midnight sun, Op Smoke Screen, Op Road Rage and Great Wall. (On different servers. That's obvious...) Got the same message on every server I tried. 

Thanks a lot guys. I'll try to log on to any of those servers when I get home from work. Really hope I don't have to re-install all of it. It's so boring.   I'll let you know during the night.

you need to loging to your EA account on the net and change your username to one you are using on BF2.

???  I don't know what you mean by that... You have the same username whatever expansion pack you play. You can't chance that!

If that's not what you're suggesting I really don't know what you're talking about...

Hi, man! I am sorry to hear that you have this problem.
I've had the same problem in the past. Just try this: simply click "join server" again. Funny, but sonetimes I get this mesage, I click again, sometimes it gives me the same message, but I try 2-3 times and eventually enter the server lol wierd, eh? Try it
If this is not helping - re - apply full version of the latest. Patch. If still not working - complete uninstall / reinstall of the game!

Puh... It was a temporary problem. It's working fine now.

But thanks for making me aware of this bug, so I don't need to re-install BF2 again.
