I got 499 for your PC in the signature.
thanks for that BTW There is 1 thing missing in my sig - I also have a DVD-RW drive. but it's clear that the DVD can't require about 60W, right?nukchebi0 wrote:

These things just take all the recommended specs for each component and then add them all together. They're really quite pointless. You can run any CPU with 2GB of RAM and a 8800GTX on a 500W power supply. In fact, watts really don't mean anything... it's amperage that matters the most.
I've been using this when calculating my wattage needs. Has a bit more options than the one att newegg.
I need around tree fiddy.
Does a much better job too that newegg one is WAAAAAY off.DonFck wrote:

+1 good find
Wow. I was like, 71 watts under. I have a 300w shitty gateway PSU. Maybe thats why my 7600GT fan is failing randomly.

Teach a man to fish, he'll be full for a night. Teach a man how to fish and he'll be full forever! It's all very well just going out and choosing a power supply within those brackets (say your power came to 550W - a sumvision 550w would still not suffice)
I use eXtreme all the time though. I bought pro membership!
