How about I pick up all the Brits and scandinavians, and then drop them off at Brussels International. Then USMarine can pick you guys up and head off to the other locations?
Would you be able to pick me up too Zimmer?

I'll rather travel with you then Marine.
Time for a crash course I guess.Zimmer wrote:
I just landed in El Prat and I was wondering, USMarine, how do you exactly what runway to land on?
I got radiod telling me it was runway 2 to the left, but how can I tell I am landing on the correct runway? This time is was failry easy because I was flying a 747 and it has to take the big runway, but other than that, how can you tell?
Also, general cruisng speed for a 737? 20,000 feet?
Runways are numbered according to their magnetic heading. So for example, Runway 36 has a heading of anywhere between 355 & 005 degrees normally. That same runway 36 is runway 18 at the opposite end (180 degrees). That is an example of a north/south runway. Clear as mud?
As for the correct runway, FSX as in the older versions of flight sim are supposed to know your size aircraft and put you on the appropriate size runway.....some times they fail. When you look at the flight planning map, or even in game there is something in the menu called "map" or something like that. If you double click on an airport, it will tell you all the info you need.
Your cruise altitude depends on length of flight. A parabolic curve would be the most efficient, but no need to figure that out. A quick rule of thumb for jets to pick altitude is distance. So if a trip is 300 nautical miles, you would cruise at 30,000 feet.
Im in Scotland now, pick me up at ,hmmm dont know the Scotland Airports: Glasgow then ill meet ya there, im 1st passenger, do i get to fly in the cockpit?Zimmer wrote:

Umm...we stop everyday. We are not stuck on the plane. Crazy Euro.Magpie wrote:

Ok. Landed in Manchester. Picked up Sam and Rob.
There was a lot of turbulence between Glasgow and Manchester. Wasn't as smooth as I expected.
And... well.... No pictures of the Manchester landing because if I had, then you guys would probably have beaten me up when we landed. I hit the runway alright... just not exactly straight. Couldn't be bothered waiting and then turning around. Don't worry, it was a damn smooth landing.
Pics :
Glasgow take off ( bug from Prestwick, couldn't get tower to acknowledge take off )
And manchester taxiing
Next stop? Um... I have no idea. Probably Surgs. Only people who ask nicely get priority in the Learjet. It's posh, and most of you can't afford it.
Thanks for the help Marine.

Yay, nice plane
I said it was posh.SamTheMan:D wrote:

Also, USMarine, where do you download your extra Airplane models?
Best place I found was here
http://www.flightsim.com/
But I hate it how half of the good planes don't actually have a cockpit. They could at least put an old cockpit in instead of leaving it blank.
I downloaded the Airbus A380, but no cockpit, so I binned it. Same with the Raptor-22.
Well that and avsim.com are what I use. There is a panel section on those sites, along with the planes.Zimmer wrote:

Zimmer, Ted told me to say that you missed him and:
"im getting more and more drunk by the min in the airport bar, and if no-one picks me up, im likely to cause a international incident"

Make a stop in Charleroi, Belgium, if you ccan even land there . Make it Zaventem if you can't, me , de_Jappe and Tran will be waiting for you there.
In Norway? Ok, he has priority. More booze on the way!FFLink13 wrote:
