Noises and colors, tried letting your computer cooldown? Might be overheating and giving you rendering mishaps.
Can't think to detail of why that would change all the sudden other then a small hardware issue. Otherwise it's not "all of the sudden."
Though I also echo sam, any more detail?
Go into sound options and make sure it's set to high. Then go into Texture options and make sure they're not all set to low.
