Everything is mechanical. Accelerator, Steering, Brakes, etc.

the most powerful of the race cars tend to not only have massively sensitive acceleration (driving a car that can hit 200 mph+ at speeds under 60 is extremely taxing on the driver and not recommended if the driver is not entirely aware of what they are doing) but they also tend to have extremely sensitive steering that, if the driver is not very experienced with driving the cars, they are guaranteed to spin out whenever they do a turn or anything like that

if you ever played PGR1 on xbox, try using the Ferrari F50 after getting used to driving one of the beginning cars, it is much the same, the cars are nearly impossible to control unless you are used to it
