The Dolphins had a 1-15 season. They almost went winless, but clipped the Baltimore Ravens by a touchdown in Overtime in Week 15. Are they the worst team in the NFL History and can Bill Parcells turn this team around like he did with the Cowboys? Discuss.

Worst? Maybe.
Can Bill Parcells turn them around? Possibly. He's definately a miracle worker.

Leeds are doing pretty well tbh, if they hadn't have had points taken away at the start, they'd be kicking total arse.Mek-Izzle wrote:

no. falcons were hardly better this season. along w/ the rams.
No. The 1976 Tampa Bay Yuccaneers are the worst team in NFL history. They didn't win a game and they looked very bad doing it. The Cowboys went 1-15 in 1989 but they aren't considered the worst team in history so I can't see how the Dolphins should be considered that given they were in the majority of the games they lost.
Accrinton Stanley are far worse.Mek-Izzle wrote:

It doesn't even matter that Miami finished last. They don't get relagated or punished, infact don't they get rewarded by getting first picks on that draft shizzle you guys do.
the bucs were a brand new team then so its believable that they sucked then but the dolphins have a team that should win they just suck with good players.
i would'nt know. ive never been able to get into Baseball.
'76 Bucs, 'nuff said.
good points, but Miami had a solid team that was projected to do well (especially the defense with thomas and taylor). 1976 Bucs were a new team, so they had an excuse. the 1989 cowboys were also a new team with troy aikman's nfl premier and jimmy Johnson's arrival.killer21 wrote:

They were brand new, though.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

I only wish the Dolphins would be the anti-New England and be 0-16. A losing record of 0-16 is just as hard to "achieve" as winning 16-0. It would be in the NFL history books as a first: two teams in the same division with records of 16-0 & 0-16.
thomas got injured early in the season and didnt play.Yellowman03 wrote:

Does being a brand-new team automatically disqualify you from being the worst? I don't think so.Spearhead wrote:

Not living up to preseason hype != a bad team.Yellowman03 wrote:

The Dolphins certainly are not the worst team in the NFL. I think six of their games were within three points? Yeah, it was six. So, while their ability to close and execute at the end is absolutely lacking, they were in many games.
