This might interest You if You follow the climate "debate" or are planning to build a house.
There's a good chance we are going to get an ice age 20-30 years from now (WTF!).
Also there's some temperature graphs explained by an Aussie scientist.

I strongly recommend seeing at least the first 7 min. of the video.

(personally I wouldn't mind if the weather was more sunny and less cold, agree?)

actaully...i would prefer an ice age to global warming. Humans are more able to withstand cold than heat. We survived the last ice age. think of how we'll do with our technology. Alot of people will freeze, but the earth could use some deaths to bring down our giant population

Aside from the fact that the majority of our agriculture would be fucked.. yeah it'd be good

Uhhh, am I missing something?  It is global warming that will bring on the next ice age.

Fuuuck, I'm gonna freeze to death if this happens.

Hell, if the ice age comes, the anti-nuke protestors will shut up pretty quick as we build a bunch of nuclear plants to keep us warm.
And this one should be easier, no big nasties around to eat us; we wiped them all out last time.

The theory goes that the heat will melt the polar ice caps.  That will create a rift in the ocean currents that will lead to an ice age.  Thus, global warming will lead to an ice age.

the best dream I've ever had involved me drinking beers with pals on the roof of an english pub, layered intensely to fend off the cold from an ice age.

Now, where this gets different is that the reason for the ice age was that a scientist blew up the moon with a telescope.
We had 4-7 years before earth was unlivable, but we were still having a ton of fun. It was nighttime and we had christmas lights strung up to create a canopy of soft light above us, and the desolate echoes of music and murmur made it all seem okay.

Why does everyone assume that Al Gore is the only source?

For me he's a non-source.

The Gulf Stream theory is quite common and a big concern.
