First I patched, then whenever I joined a server I got PB INIT FAILURE and got kicked. Updated PB, didn't work. Fixed it by running as administrator.

Now when I join a server. I get PB client not responding FFS, I JUST WANNA PLAY

Reinstall PB off of the cod4 disc.

if you are running steam make sure the the in game menu is not activated.

Working now, I don't know what fixed it. Either:

1. Quitting XFire
2. Quitting Steam
3. Installing gfx driver updates
4. Running as XP service Pack 2

I'm gonna work backwards now.

Steam - File - Settings - In-Game - Decheck the box that says enable steam community in-game - OK - Play CoD4

Well xfire and steam are ok.

It was either 3 or 4.
