Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm looking for some help with a problem that just started yesterday and I can't seem to fix it.

On servers that I get good ping (~60), it has begun to fluctuate like mad from 60-400.  I have tried everything from rebooting to re-installing to manually updating PB yet nothing works.  I've alt-tabbed out of the game to cancel any non-essential programs and still its going nuts.
Anyone have any ideas on what I might have missed?

Spyware scan/Virus scan. Contact your ISP, make sure everything is ok. Wireless or Wired connection to the internet?

Did the virus/spyware thing with Nod32 and Spybot S&D.  It's cable internet using a ethernet cable.  Haven't contacted the ISP because the internet works fine otherwise.  I do have multiple computers at home and I thought it might be because they are using up bandwidth, however, I tried playing when everyone is asleep and the problem persists.
Anything in particular I should ask my ISP when I call?

I'm having the same problem. I don't have any spyware/adware/viruses, and I've manually updated PB. I'm running out of ideas. COD4 and other online games run fine. It's just BF2 that's the problem.

Are all the ports needed open? Have you deleted the BF2 cache?

I've played a couple of rounds and believe deleting the cache worked. Thanks!

I am running on a router but the computer in question is DMZ.  How do I go about deleting the cache?
