I was flying a J10 on Wake Island the other night, and I was doing just fine. I'm getting some good kills, dropping F35s like flys. I go into a turn and all of a sudden...WHAM! I tagged a UAV drone. I was like "WTF?" I didn't know you could do that. I mean I have had the commanders set supplies somewhere and it pops into existence and I ran into it because I didn't have time to move, but honestly....a UAV?

So, I get another J10 when it spawned, I take off, spot a F35, turn to follow....BAM! Another UAV. By this point, I'm thinking this is bullshit. Needless to say, I learned my lesson. Go high or go low. Middle = Pissed off.

I have three questions. One, when did they make it to where you can hit the UAV? Two, if you can hit it, can you blow it up, say with bullets from the jets? Three, this ever happen to you?

yes you can blow it up...Ive done it in choppers.

You have been able to hit them for ever I think...

You've always been able to crash into the UAV, And yes you can shoot down the UAV using jet or just regular rifle.

Actually for the First Few Patches (Maybe up to 6 months of the game) you couldn't. It also took 10,000 points to get Corporal. I miss those days...

My favorite it hitting those palm trees, spinning like a drunkard, and then living. I always crash immediately after because I'm laughing my ass off.

it was the 1.3 patch i believe that added the UAV drones...at first they would sometimes fly through mountains and whatnot...

if you shoot one down, you can go look at its smoking wreckage on the ground...lol

Just tilt it sideways, you fly right between the cannons. Same thing goes if you know that artillery is falling somewhere and your going through it, i never die from artillery when I am in a jet.

I have taken out a few choppers with my arty when they were raping on Sharqi. It wasnt falling either, it was going up. Always worth a few lols

It's also possible to be taken down by flying over arty that is shooting. Try it in a chopper, it works.

This is correct, I have fallen to the shells of artillary firing off over wake island's arty island. Fortunately I learned my lesson.
