Maybe you got a firewall up or you need to open up some ports? Do you have Spybot SD Resident shield running? AVG? Any program that is blocking access? Gamespy might be having problems? I dunno.

If you want to forward your ports then visit Port Forward. Select your particular router and then it will give you step-by-step instructions.
Personally i have never had to forward any ports and i don't know of anyone who's had to but it might your particular router. It's possible the EA/Gamespy account servers are undergoing maintenance. It's happened before.
