two more questions:

There are so many 8800GT's on newegg that i dont even know which one to pick. i have $300 left to spend on one, any suggestions?

also, the case im getting has one 120mm fan in the back, is that enough to keep everything cool? or should i buy an extra fan?

thats it, thanks in advance.

EDIT switched from 2 x 1GB sticks of RAM to 2 x 2GB of A-DATA

EDIT 2: im probably getting vista 64bit but which version should i get?
I would go for the cheaper of the gt's, non-oc

Memory I would go with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6820220269
just my opinion I have a 2x1 gig kit, another gig on it way, and it has been good to me, faster timings than A-data

Edit*
Finally found the set I have
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6820220144
I have that Patriot RAM as well. Excellent and underrated manufacturer.

Ok, last question before i start ordering pieces:

Are all of these components compatible with one another?

Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6811119115

Hard-Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6822148261

CD-DVD drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6827106087

Sound Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6829102005

PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6817152031

RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6820211188

Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6813127020

Processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6819115017

GPU: Still trying to find an 8800GT thats in stock.

OS: I'm going to buy XP 64bit somewhere locally.

Im going to have to order these parts 1 or 2 at a time coz im broke, but does that look like a good, compatible set-up?

And is there anything else i might need to buy along with it such as cables etc?

thanks so much for all of the help everyone!

Yeah ^^^

Though, I would probably buy a different brand of motherboard.  Nothing against ABIT, but, for nforce I always say XFX, Asus, or eVGA.
