I searched. I found nothing of this sort.

I'm sitting here fighting delirious exhaustion at 2:56 in the morning, I am listening to The Beatles, and... I just had to make a thread.

Does anybody else almost consider The Beatles as being on their own plane of musical existence? Honestly... I hardly think of their songs as "music" because it hits a place that almost predates any conscious memory that I have and resonates in such an unprecedentedly spiritual way with me...
Maybe the closest thing to a religious high I've ever experienced.

My five favorite albums:
1. Revolver
1a. Rubber Soul
1b. Abbey Road
1c. Sgt. Peppers.
1d. The White Album
.... honorable mention: All of them. But I'd like to single out "Love" because although it is just a remix/remaster of many of their old hits, it's absolutely beautiful, and engineered by George Martin, so it's entirely a Beatles product.

Speaking of George Martin... The Beatles are fabulous musicians... but without him, their success would be seriously diminished. The man is a producing genius. "5th Beatle" most certainly.

Anyway... anyone else a fan?

The fifth beatle is Billy Preston... George Martin was a genius though...  I grew up listening to the Beatles and they are a huge influence...
Their lyrics were simple but amazing...  Their music will be around for a long time...

Billy Preston, while a "Beatle" all things considered, was not "The Fifth Beatle," which was a title often attributed to Martin.
edit: Although it did only take me rereading my post to realize that it may seem as though I was somehow discrediting Preston. That is by no means what I intended. I only wanted to clarify my point, although Preston (and many others too) were also called (and rightfully so) "The Fifth Beatle."
So yeah. Sorry for that miscommunication... if there was one.

Tomorrow Never Knows, on Revolver, is one of my favourites songs.
Abbey Road's b-face is excellent.
Sgt Pepper's is THE album.

You're right about Abbey Road's B. I broke my vinyl version of that album .

Actually i was kinda tripped when i first read this post, had stayed up all night watching old simpsons episodes then took a line of coke and went and had a math exam Came home, took another one and read this post, the first thing that came to me was the first line of that song
Downloaded half the record before i found i already had it in my harddrive because i needed a fix of the abbey road B-side.

OT: I dont understand why everyone likes the B-side the most, i guess i also do that, mainly because i liked the A-side at first, then got tired of that when i discovered how awesome the B-side truly is... But "Oh! Darling" and "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" are some of the best Beatles compositions in my opinion, and "come together" is still one of the coolest song ever made, play that song to a teenager that dont have a clue and he'll think it's some new and awesome band
