I can't with a Q6600, 8800GTX, 4GB 800mhz, DS4Mobo
(well I could, but not that playable)
those other games I can imagine.

Clicky for fullsize:
That's on standard all "high" under DX9 (as I'm using XP). No custom config file yet as I haven't had the time to spend a few hours tweaking.
I don't know the exact FPS, but it's as smooth as butter. I don't notice ANY jerkiness or anything.
Oh, and here's my 3DMark06 score if you're interested (no OC'ing yet): http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=4416363
yeah k, thought you were talking about "very high" i can play all high too.Viper007Bond wrote:

However, there's an autoexec.cfg file out there that clones 1:1 the "Very High" setting and I get 20-30 FPS on that I believe. I reproduced my above screenshot with that config file and didn't notice enough of a difference in that forest to keep it though. Maybe with the far away stuff it would have paid off, but meh.

Nice, although I think the SLi is overkill, especially considering you coulda put that money towards a 9 series.

All the very high options like sunray's through trees, water god rays, POM (making textures look like theyre standing out real) and all the other stuff is worth it tho if you can run it. You maynot notice a lot of difference in that crowded forest but damn other maps look nice.Viper007Bond wrote:

@Viper and Varegg, yes I hear you and had taken that onboard before buying the parts. However, I made the choice to get two cards as I have never experienced two cards before, so next time when I build another rig I can compare the benefits of 1 v 2 with regards to graphics.
Currently passive (yes passive, no fan ) cooled CPU @3.2Ghz with a 1600Mhz FSB (it'll do 3.6 but I want the temps below 50c at full load), RAM timings tightened to 4-4-4-12 until I get round to buying something faster than 800Mhz (it has clocked to 975Mhz at 4-4-4-12 in the past but I need to play with the voltages and I haven't had time yet).
