and to my fellow canadians, stfu with the band wagon america bashing, it's pathetic and makes the rest of us look bad... dislike someone/something for your own reasons and not because of something you heard about.
shit like this happens here all the time, i got suspended for having a keychain with a DEACTIVATED .45 bullet on it ffs
That seems to be the common occurrence in this section.krazed wrote:

We make ourselves a big easy target, thanks to all the liberal pussies (See also Democrats) that don't want to offend anyone / stand up for ourselves.usmarine2005 wrote:

Ahhh...no it's not. And that was established in this thread with the Canadian example.Jenspm wrote:

I don't know any other "normal" country where that would happen.

Some school in Quebec banned some Muslim girl from a game because she wanted to wear whatever the fuck they wear on their head.
Actually the reason that you make yourselves a big target is because of MOSTLY because you are a Christian Theocracy driven by two conservative parties. Your current leader also makes your nation a bit of a laughing stock to the rest of the Western world as does your willingness to privatize every single service that you have, rendering that service too expensive for the average joe and grossly underfunded.=MCHD= arush5268d wrote:

We probably all have a few things like that to happen in every country of the world. The point is it seems USA have more of those. You guys get paranoid and wants to control everything your neighboor is doing to be sure he is not a terrorist willing to blow up himself into your little child's school bus. Every unsuall object could be a potential weapon and you ban them from schools, or others publics places. yet your 12 years old son can freely shoot with a .44 magnum handgun or try your brand new Ak-47 in your backyard with his little buddies.

What the hell is wrong with teaching a kid at a young age to learn to use guns properly and safely, to learn respect for them? Or should we turn our society into thinking inanimate objects are evil? It takes a human being to pull the trigger. Guns do not kill people by themselves.PvtStPoK wrote:

Good analysis! I think you have been drinking a little too much Socialist Koolaid. Do some research into economics and government before you spout off ridiculous BS.TeamZephyr wrote:

On topic: This is ridiculous. Rules inspired by fear often have negative consequences. We have turned into a society where we do not trust 10 year olds to not kill someone with cutlery... If we don't trust people to use a steak knife to cut stakes, how can we trust them to elect good leaders? A good portion of our society is ripe for a dictatorial takeover and that scares me!
Righto, my reseach went something like this.....RAIMIUS wrote:

Europe
-Strongest Economy in the world
-Services mostly owned by government and paid for by taxes, average citizen happy with free education and health care.
-Seperation of church and state
-Vibrant democracies with many different political parties and many different coalitions
United States
-Failing Economy
-Services mostly owned by private consortiums run for profit, so average citizen angry with having to pay taxes AND fees for various services that should be state run.
-Close to becoming a Christian Theocracy
-Failing democracy where less than 50% of the population actually votes. Two political parties very similar have the only chance of gaining power.
And plus, Europe doesn't arrest 10 year olds for cutting rubbery food with a steak knife

every idiot can buy guns in your country - but a 10yrs old girl gets arrested, because she uses a steak knife to cut her lunch?

On one hand, she shouldn't have brought a knife to school. Heck, I got in trouble for sketching weapons. On the other, a fork can easily be as dangerous, if they haven't gone to complete sporkdom by now. This should be dismissed without charges. It was an obvious lack of "oh, maybe somebody will overreact" mindset that ultimately hurt no one.
Why the fuck do people overact too much. FFS it's a steak knife, like she's gonna stab someone with it.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Whats the need for a kid to know how to use guns? One more protection against your foreign neighboor?.:ronin:.|Patton wrote:
