Hey guys i just got a log in name for this site and before i reloaded my computer my bf2 would crash to the desktop 2 seconds after clicking on the desktop icon. So i reloaded my computer and then bf2 worked for a little while after that and then when i click on my bf2 game today my game loaded to a black screen then went to my desktop. I have been looking all over trying to find out what is wrong with it so i hope that somebody has the answer.

First- Have you reently installed any new programs/ updates / altered game files etc on your computer?
Next try renaming the Battlefield 2 folder, in My Documents, to Battlefield 2 Old.
If this still doesn't work, try temporarily disabling any Antivirus software, by right clicking on its icon next to the clock in the corner of the screen and clicking quit/ close/ exit/ etc.
If that doesn't work try downloading and installing patch 1.41 again (link here
Next try updating PunkBuster -> (download this program)
If that doesn't work then you will probably have to do a manual reinstall of the game (Steps to do this can be found here)
