Was already answered. However the reason it gives you -2 is because you have to suicide before you can switch teams. That is where the -2 comes from.

I know what he's talking about. Every once in a while you'll switch teams, the server will nick you -2 for it (stupid, but fine - whatever) and then it will instantly auto-team your ass right back to the side you were on.

The suicide thing is enoying yes. But when i'm already dead and try to switch team i still get the damn -2.
Ahh I see. Yes it does add that -2 for no apparent reason. I have been switched team wise 3 times in a row once. As in was US then MEC then right back to US then right back to MEC before I even had a chance to spawn. So I know the switching teams function is completely broken like most of the other special features of the game. Just another fact that makes my sig line comment so true. If you wanted to be a beta tester.. you are one right now.

No he's IMPLYING you HAVE to get on the winning team constantly to get the ribbon that's why he said 'how else?'
I got this. Yeah u have to be on the winning side (thats clear) but i told him
that there is a way to lead ur team to victory, not to constantly switch teams for achieving this ribbon.

ok now IM confused after reading orange's post. lol.
i have at times been swapped six or seven times by the sever when i dies cos some little crud monkey wanted to be on american side and kept trying. it really pissed me off cos i had a huge - score. i hunted down the little private, and told him nicely to stop team switching.... or i would kill him.... i killed him anyway with the knife 8 times......

all you have to do is wait until you are dead(not critically wounded and waiting to respawn) and ready to respawn and you dont loose any point
If ur dead and the other team has one player less it's save to switch teams without geting -2.

play on servers with auto balance then - and if ur already dead u dont get -2 for swaping teams wait till your medic time has run out tho u know when ur lying there dead... i think if u swap then your not actually considered dead dead (because u can be revived) and u get the suacide still...SGTJones97E wrote:

i think the reason the -2 is to deture ppl from switiching to the winning side right b4 the end of the match.
Nayo, that makes sense. I would really like to see a minute or two buffer at the beginning of a map or a minute or two after you join. After that, you probably should have switched already.
