No screenie, but I try to jump onto a server and I get a little message that says "CD Key not valid." I'm too lazy to reinstall, but If I have to, I guess I have to.
Try deleting the profiles folder in my documents.Fixes most common problems(it resets everything to default)
Had this problem before and that fixed it.
btw if u have modified loc files save emm because they will be reseted

If you still have your manual with the CD Key on it, you can use the BF2 CD Key Changer Tool located in the BF2 folder then reinstall patch 1.41 and you should be good to go.
I got this message. Once, I reset my wireless router, and that fixed it. Got it again and only a re-install would fix.
This is the CD Key changing program: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\Support\Battlefield 2_code.exeProteinRage wrote:

Fiddling with the profiles folder makes sense if the above doesn't work, but don't delete it! Just rename it, or move it to your desktop. If you have customized controls or favorites or video settings that work etc. you will want to save your controls.con, general.con, video.con etc.
As san4 said. I had to do this about 2-3 weeks ago and it worked for me. Got the same invalid CD-key type error every time I tried to join a server. I don't think i had to reinstall the 1.41 patch either. Pretty sure I just used the CD Key Changer. Pretty sure I had to restart to get it to work though.
Well, I fixed it somehow, but it still happens. Oddly enough, It's only for one server - COP 24/7 Oman. Really weird.
Oh, and I feel like a retard because I deleted my profiles, so now I have to listen to that old guy explain how everything works.
